MMM Catering currently support 25 children from around the world through Compassion Australia. It is our mission statement to create a difference here and globally.
Compassion is an international Christian holistic child development ministry, committed to child advocacy and working in partnership with local churches to foster the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional development of children living in extreme poverty in over 25 developing countries.
Unfortunately, it is always the children who are hardest hit by the effects of extreme poverty, exploitation and abuse—yet they are the least able and have the fewest resources available to change their circumstances. Of the 2.2 billion children in our world today, nearly half are living in desperate conditions. Compassion believes that one of the most effective ways to address poverty in a community is to begin by impacting and changing the lives of its children.
How does child sponsorship help?
When you sponsor a child you provide them with:
- Christian teaching*
- Learning opportunities - includes school supplies and assistance with school fees as needed
- Health care
- Nutritious meals
- Key life skills and vocational training programs
- Individualised care and attention
*Your sponsored child receives Christian teaching as part of the outreach ministry of the local church with whom Compassion partners. Currently over one million children are assisted through Compassion internationally.
